Gary Jefferson, whose wife Sandy was one of the 2007 quilters, was the winner of the 2007 Rescue Quilt. Sandy's quilt block featured her rescued RR, "Shelby". Shelby was only 8 weeks old when Gary and Sandy adopted her from RRRInc. Scroll down for a picture of Sandy and Shelby with the quilt.

2007 Rescue Quilt

"I am ecstatic that the quilt is with us. I felt a special connection to this one...I sewed a block (the one in the bottom right corner of Shelby playing with her orange ball), the specialty was held 10 miles from home, I outsold my goal amount of $500 worth of raffle tickets, and RRCUS was started in 1957. I was born in 1957! So, I am so happy to be the owner (well, co-owner) of it!"
